Wangchen Rinpoche will discuss the essential points of meditation, and how to make meditation a natural part of your day.


Wangchen Rinpoche is a highly respected master and lineage holder of the Shangpa Lineage. Rinpoche is the disciple of the late Enlightened master, Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche, who was the previous head of the Shangpa Lineage. He also considers H.H. 16 th Gyalwa Karmapa to be his Guru. Rinpoche was born in Darjeeling, India in 1963. He entered Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche’s Monastery at the age of seven. From that time on he lived and traveled with his Guru until the age of sixteen, when he entered three-year retreat.


Wangchen Rinpoche oversees and is directly responsible for two monasteries and one nunnery in the area of ethnic Tibetans in Ganzi District, Sichuan, China. Rinpoche has students and followers all over the world and travels regularly to bestow teachings.
