Tibetan Buddhist vajrayana is the pursuit of a direct and stable recognition of the nature of reality. Settling the mind and developing insight through meditation are crucial to experiencing the uncontrived nature of mind. The vajrayana further employs a profound array of techniques such as deity visualization and devotional practices to catalyze and deepen a direct experience of the true nature.
Retreat Master Lama Tsering will discuss how these elements of the path fit together and what they mean to our personal practice.
For the last session, Lama Tsering will bestow the Medicine Buddha Empowerment. In this age of rampant disease and difficulties, the Medicine or Healing Buddha, is a much needed practice that can help those in our lives who are struggling with illness and obstacles and also remove our own physical and mental suffering. The Medicine Buddha Empowerment is a powerful blessing for healing, dispelling sickness and awakening the innate healing wisdom within all beings.
Refuge is not required for those participating in the empowerment.
