Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche - Shangpa Teachings and Empowerments

Date: Sat, Oct 20, 2018 9:30 am - Mon, Oct 22, 2018 9:00 pm
Duration: 2 Days, 11 Hours, 30 Minutes

KaluKyabje Kalu Rinpoche was born in 1990 in Darjeeling, India. Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa officially recognized him as Kalu Rinpoche’s young reincarnation on March 25, 1992, saying that he had received definite signs from Kalu Rinpoche himself. His Holiness the Dalai Lama was then consulted and confirmed that the child, then one and a half years old, was surely and unmistakably the reincarnation of Kalu Rinpoche.

His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche received the complete Empowerments of the Shangpa Kaygu Lineage from the Venerable Bokar Rinpoche. Thereafter he entered into the traditional Shangpa Kagyu Retreat at Bokar Monastery. In September of 2008 the Venerable Kalu Rinpoche completed his first three-year retreat.
