Kagyu Thubten Chöling Monastery is happy to announce a series of monthly teachings by Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche on The Ornament of Precious Liberation by Gampopa. These teaching will be live streamed and are available only at participating Dharma Centers.

The Ornament of Precious Liberation, a foundation of Buddhist study and practice, is a primary text of the Kagyu Lineage that elucidates the stages of the Buddhist path. It includes teachings on Buddha-nature, finding a spiritual master, impermanence, karma, the cultivation of bodhicitta, the development of the six perfections, the ten Bodhisattva Levels, achievement of Buddhahood, and the four major activities of a Buddha to benefit beings.

Gampopa said "Studying The Ornament of Precious Liberation and the Precious Garland of the Excellent Path is equivalent to meeting me in person."

The course is scheduled to be taught in monthly teachings over a two year period. Due to the time difference, Kagyu Thubten Chöling will present the teachings as weekend seminars once a month, at a time convenient for New York area residents. Anyone with a sincere interest in Buddhist philosophy and practice is welcome to participate and completing the full course is highly encouraged. English translation by Richard Barron (Lama Chokyi Nyima).

More dates will be announced in the future. We hope you can join us for this amazing opportunity to receive teachings directly from one of the foremost teachers of the Kagyu Lineage.
