(Fri, Nov 25, 2011 8:00 am - Sun, Nov 27, 2011 4:00 pm MST)
Duration: 2 Days 8 Hours
The Sangha of Kagyu Thubten Chöling Monastery will perform the three-day practice based on the 21 Taras known as 'Drolma Yuldok'  to remove obstacles and bring auspicious conditions.  The central content of the chanting is the 21 Praises of Tara repeated with various offerings and prayers.

Preparations for the practice will take place Friday morning and chanting will begin that afternoon and continue for the next two days.

There are many ways to participate in this auspicious activity. The shrine room is open to the public and everyone is welcome to join us for any amount of time. Transliterated and translated versions of the text will be available to guests.  It is also very beneficial to recite the mantra of Tara in the shrine room on one's own while the ceremony is being performed.  Additionally, it is possible to sponsor the chanting.

For those who wish to sponsor the chanting, you may sponsor prayers, tea offerings, and meals, as well as make general donations to the ceremony. Prayer requests will be read aloud to the assembly. You may wish to bring small trinkets, candies and cookies to add to the Tara mandala in order to create an auspicious connection with the practice and its vast benefits.

You may make your donations on-line or simply mail your tax-deductible contribution to:

There is no charge for attending the chanting but reservations are required one week in advance if you plan to join us for meals and/or need overnight accommodations. Please see General Information about Events at KTC for details. Please send an email to reservations@kagyu.com if you are joining us for meals only.
